Display in my Linux shot
« on: March 20, 2003, 10:10:20 pm »
hmm, so for some odd reason now when i run Knoppix and Red Hat my screen resolution is screwed. Even though it is set at 1024x768 it does not appear so.

Only the center of my monitor is being utilized, even though when both OSes are being booted it takes up the whole screen, but once i get in completey i get cheated out of about an inch of all sides of the monitor.

I am looking into to it.

well, i booted into Knoppix and entered the cheat code
knoppix screen=1024x768

so that it will know that is what i want my screen resolution to be, but it had no effect. i was still being cheated out of my monitor.

So i went back into win2k, made this post, and then later booted into Red Hat and i got my screen back. So WTF? I dont know, maybe it had something to do with the cheatcode. I will boot into Knoppix later today to see if i get the same problem...
