Well, Sal, you have had the Pocket PC for awhile now and I am wondering if you can give an update as to how you like it, how it compares with your old Palm.

I am getting so into my Palm Vx, but I realize that it is now out of date and I am looking (well, fantasizing) about upgrades.
Take care,

The Pocket PC is far superior over the Palm i had, i was using Palm OS 4 i believe. With the PPC you can really Multitask by minimizing apps like in a regular PC.

Althought now with Palm OS 5 you should be able to do things that the Pocket PC OSes.

I still like reading and looking at Palm based PDAs when i get a chance, i really love the Sony Clie Palms. Very Slick...

i still have my Palm M125 at home, and have a color Handspring that i have yet to play with....

i was talking to Rob last nite on the phone and he said he say a Dell Axim like mine at a pawn shop but he didnt get the price, hopefully we will swing by to check it out.

I want to upgrade to the 400mhz 64MB Axim, so  hopefully the one at the pawn shop is that one...

Man - you come into some stuff, don't you?   ;D

I am seriously thinking (might be as far as it goes this year) about a PDA that is in color... When you get the chance to play, let me know about the color Handspring - OS, etc...

a lot of the crap i do with the Pocket PC i went into in this thread:

http://www.digisal.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=comp;action=display;num=1057127712

During the semester of having the Ax i managed to go paperless in my clarsees. Which kicked arse because i was always with my notes no matter where i went.

I have since loaded Adode Reader for Pocket PC and it works pretty good, but the conversion process is pretty lengthy. Maybe because i have big arse PDFs to convert. It adds some sort of tagging that enables text and images to be reflowed so that it will look and scroll better. I have only had one problem with one PDF file, but it was no big deal.
