Socks and Sweaters
« on: November 18, 2008, 06:24:58 pm »
Stay where you are now if you're still ok
it's too cold outside just to play so just stay
To be with you, where you are can't be so wrong
All it takes is a spark to the heart and we're drawn
In comfort and warmth, then sweat in the heat
Like flickering flames that dance when they meet
A batting eye lash like a butterfly wing
An Eskimo kiss, a playful pinch with a sting
Needing each other to fend off the frost
To have and to hold, a light house to the lost
When you're wrapped around me like a scarf in the wind
It feels like forgiveness and prayer for my sins
Though concrete and welded is my love for you
History has shown one thing to be true
The strongest foundations can be ground into dust
Ash comes from fire, and steel turns to rust
So if all that we've built can come crumbling down
And we trained hard to swim only to drown
Promise that you'll always keep a light in your heart
A beacon calling me back from the cold and the dark
Cause where would we go if the fire went out
Where we could be certain without any doubt
We would feel the parseion that we wore like clothes
That cloaked us from the merciless bite of the cold
