So Bev and I usually get into Christmas before Christmas. We call them "I love you!" gifts. LOL
She gave me a USB turntable. This is a unit that will play vinyl records through RCA plugs or a USB port. There is the appropriate pre-amp board in the turntable to handle the output to the USB. I drop the output from the turntable into Audacity (freeware). There are many formats to drop into but I settled on WAV (Microsoft 4 bit IMA ADPCM). After snagging the LAME MP3 encoder I then compress to a 192 bit rate MP3 file. There are way many ways to edit which I have not explored yet but here from the Laboratory of the Utility Muffin Research kitchen is my first raw effort. Understand this vinyl was purchased in 1975 and played and partied to more than a few times.
