Oh - and BTW - Computing.net has an active forum for Windows 3.11 that was incredibly helpful every time I had "issues" or needed software. Follow links, follow links...

In Win9x there is a utility that you can install - the clipboard viewer. If you don't have it, got to the Add/Remove programs thing, hit the second tab and look for the clipboard viewer to install it. I do believe that ME and XP also have it.

OR-

You can just open up Paint and paste away...

in Office XP if you copy more then once you get a window that pop ups that shows you the contents of your clipboard. I dont know if it comes up when you not in Offfice, probably in option after you install the clipboard viewer.

One thing i liked about KDE in linux was that when i copied a a URL i would get a window that asked me if i wanted to open it with Konqueror, although it didnt come up all the time, or it would get hidden behind other windows it was still cool...

I hated that... and once it started I couldn't find how to ditch it. Since I like Mozilla, I wanted everything to come up in Mozilla (especially if I was SURFING in Mozilla). That popup, ASKING ME WHAT BROWSER TO OPEN A PAGE IN - when I am already using a browser.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

Sorry - just seems so inefficient. Almost like that whole thing about IE checking to see if it is the default browser. A program running on bootup and taking up precious computing cycles to determine if IE is my default browser? Like I wouldn't notice if the f*king page opened in IE or not and would take the appropriate action if the wrong one opened?

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing this Sam Kinison moment.
