New tech sites

Dont know if you have heard of these sites or not, but I thought it would be beneficial to others if I posted them up.  

www.blackviper.com   and  sourceforge.net

BV.com is freakin cool, tells alot about windows services and what they do, which can be turned off, turned off safely, and cant be touched.  Tweaks for a faster machine and lots of other stuff.  I got a new hard drive this weekend and did a fresh install of XP Pro and followed his steps for a faster machine and this hardrive boots from start to finish in under 30 seconds.  Thats half the time as my last setup.  Very much worth the browse time if nothing else than to read up on windows processes and various security functions.  

Unfortunately I havent really poured over sourceforge.net.  I remember checking it out the first time I went there but got enthralled in the tweak section at BV.  Ill check it out and get back.

ok, sourceforge.net is "the worlds largest open source software" something or other.  basically it has a bunch of downloadable software that peoples have shared and developed over time.  there is a bunch of stuff.  Sal would have a field day im sure.  Definitely worth the trip as well, in fact im headed back right now.

I never really liked BlackViper, the layout maybe. It has been around forever, maybe they changed the layout? To lazy to check it out.

And Sourceforge, believe me, if you ever got into Linux you would spend as much time there as I do now. But its not only for Linux of course. The developers of the Web Portal I am using for this site use it to distribute it, get feedback, and to have users report bugs. The reporting, and tracking of bugs is a feature that is greatly used by developers who use Sourceforge.
