Well it finally happened, The Man in Black (no not Tommy Lee Jones or Will Smith) the real Man in Black Johnny Cash past away today.  He suffered from diabetes for years and it finally caught up to him. He was a true legend. It would have been nice to see him perform at least once. But i didnt really discover him until i was about 23. He was a no bullcrap kind of guy. And even though i never had it as rough or been through the crap he and the people he wrote about went through i could still relate to the music somehow and understood his pain. He will be missed.

i guess i discovered him kind of late also. My dad has always been into that kind of music so i had always heard the music but never new who sang it. It wasnt until i was about 18 or so that i started to put names with the songs. My fav Cash song is A Boy Named Sue. About a father who named his son a girls name so he could grow up to be tough, and defend for himself because he was not going to be around. Good song. Great musician.
