Title: Shift Click = New Window...
Post by: admin on September 04, 2003, 10:22:11 AM
whenever i want to make sure that a link i press opens in a new window i simply hold the shift key down and click away. To me this is simplier then right clicking and clicking Open in New Window...

and sometime i will be at a site and i need to go to another site with out losing my place, i do a CTRL-N to get a new window open, and i hit ESC to keep the current page from loading again, then i go where i need to go.

Simpler to me, then doing File, New, Window... and clicking the Stop button..

That's what I like about Mozilla - middle click a link and it opens in a new tab.

i like the middle in IE because it makes it easier to scroll, i dont know how to describe it but it scrolls automatically whilst moving my mouse down or up.

make sense?

prolly have to try it..

You mean the middle click action that puts the little circle thing and then you move the mouse up or down (or even side to side if there are scroll bars that will go that way) and the page shifts with it? I have seen that - and I never  used it, although I consider autoscroll a necessity on my Palm for my DOC reader. The Palm is the ultimate lazy read. I have seen reference to the e-book readers... larger screen than the Palm and fairly inexpensive. BestBuy used to carry them, but I haven't seen one in quite awhile. I wonder if it is now a dead platform?

i never heard of that platform...

as far as autoscroll, I was trying to auto scroll Adobe Reader the other day at work so i could read something while i ate. It only worked in Full Screen mode, but didnt work because it had to install a Plugin which i didnt have rights to do.

I dont use the auto scroll on the PPC because i get to distracted to easily when reading something. So luckily it has a scroller button on the side.

Look neat - wonder if they do programs.

hey, that thing is not to shabby, It has an MMC slot, does Voice Memos, and plays MP3s.

the product website at Franklin shows one with a blue face plate..
