I can now remember four events or days in my life where I was stricken with sadness and it just so happened that it rained on me. Maybe when I was out of tears the skies opened up and shed some tears for me. One of those days was when my mom was having a triple bypass and the fourth day was yesterday, when I found out my father has cancer in his lungs.
I desire, and will be forever grateful, your prayers for my father, my family and for me.
We will be praying for all of your family, and we are here if you need us. We love you.
Oh Sal, I am so sorry. But you know, they can do so much more for cancer patients these days and I will be praying that your father is one of those cases. We will also pray that the Lord will shelter you under His wings and uphold you with His love during this time. We love you and are crying with you.
How does one respond to such a thing . Im sorry about the bad news Jay . The only thing I can say is , what ever pop wants , Go with it . !! When my dad went in for that second surgery and they said it was too Risky … I said ” leave him alone , he does’nt want the risk ” , but the sisters did’nt want that .. I just told him .. let him be . Just have him take it easy . Thats why I try my best to help out my dad in whatever he needs done. Dont want to ever say ” Maybe I should of done this ” .
Bless you Jay
Rob.
Sal, having had gone through the cancer situation very recently with my sister, all I can tell you is that you have my undivided support. My sister was surrounded by prayers and loving, caring, encouraing, and supportive family and friends. You can not imagine the tremendous amount of help all this was for her. So, I tell you, put your faith to work. Remember, faith is like a muscle, the more you use it, the more it grows. This is the time your faith will rise. Claim good things for your dad despite what is going on. Let’s get the chains of prayer started. At the same time, I will respect your feelings but don’t forget, I am here if you need anything. Abel and I will be praying for you and your family.
thanks everyone.
I wish I could turn back time for you and your family so you all won’t suffer, but the only person who knows what they are doing is the Lord above…
I can remember when my father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer, we were devastated when we heard the news but we got through it because of the great support and many prayers from family and friends. We were very fortunate to have him as long as we did.
Spend as much time as possible with your family “time is priceless” – don’t concentrate on the past put full strength on the present.
You’ve been such a great friend to me I hate to see you suffer…
I’ll keep your family in my prayers….
Love, Jenny!
